About The Book

"Trust Yourself First: Cultivating Self-Awareness, Confidence & Resilience" is her first published book, where she shares her learning, knowledge and experience with the aim of inspiring readers to remember and reflect where they've been and envisage where else they might go when they trust more, and trust first.

It tells Doris’ story of how she came to discover the secrets of living successfully, including how she discovered the “magic” of Clean Language, developed by a genius called David Grove, and stories from her clients, friends and family that have shaped her coaching practice, her life and who she is today.

She shares what she’s learned and the lesson clients have found most useful for their own professional and personal development.  When you learn to trust yourself more, you grow in confidence.  Her 4C model of Trust: Consistency, Compassion, Competence, and Communication are the keys to unlocking your potential to cultivate more trust with yourself and with others.

An authentic writer who opens her heart to you. I particularly like the key messages and reflective questions at the end of each chapter - helps you explore and connect with yourself more deeply and to trust yourself more fully” - Julia Feng, Positive Change Coach of Positive Change Practitioners Center, Philippines.

Client Testimonials

"What I really value about working with Doris is how her positive and fruitful way enabled me to think things through more and to self-reflect more."

Robert O. - Global Head of Product Development & Board member, Technology systems

"I found Doris resonated with what I was saying, and felt she had real understanding of business and how things work and why we feel the way we do.  I’ve been able to use a lot of what we’ve discussed."

Richard R – General Manager, Food Manufacturing

"I started working with Doris soon after we went into lockdown and my team moved to remote working. The coaching sessions have been incredibly empowering and provided me with a stronger sense of belief and confidence in my leadership abilities during challenging times. Doris also facilitated team meetings and my team found her coaching style of using 'clean' questions thought provoking and refreshing. We left these coaching sessions feeling energised and closer as a team. I would highly recommend Doris and I am deeply grateful for having the opportunity to have worked with her."

Thulasi M. - Team Leader & Business Psychologist, NHS

"I've been overwhelmed with the impact Doris has had on me in quite a short period of time.  She is able to listen to my challenges and really question my beliefs and assumptions to allow me to reflect on what direction I wanted to travel. Doris gave me the confidence to take the next steps in my career and believe in myself as a senior manager. I would have no hesitation about working with Doris again and would highly recommend her to anyone."

Charlie C - Head of Engagement, Social Enterprise
